About the project

Studio Four were appointed in January 2018 to assist with a project on a tight timescale. 

The project involved redesigning a plan and producing planning drawings for a new build house located on the outskirts of the New Forest National Park. The proposal seeks to provide a quality, efficient home and safe garden for a young family, ensuring the close proximity and welfare of the family livestock pets, and re-establish a sustainable area of grazing paddock. 

The building is limited in size due to planning constraints but the principle habitable spaces are orientated to face south, maximising views across the new garden and the full extent of the grazing paddock.

North Marden

Designed for a young couple, this project created a 2 storey side extension to provide additional living space and a new master suite

Warsash House

Creation of a new build house over 3 storeys. The riverside elevation consists of 2 largely glazed wings, whilst the road facing elevation appears softer in scale.

Glebe Cottage

Extensions and refurbishment to a house in the South Downs. A combination of extension elements and refurbishment / re-modelling.

Sutton Scotney

Studio Four were appointed to look at a revised planning application for a narrow site in Sutton Scotney and created a sketch design with 3d visualisations

La Beaudouiniere, France

Stephen Hole – one of the Directors at Studio Four Architects – purchased part of a field in France with a Barn in one corner in 2003/2004.

Compton Way

Located in Winchester, this project comprised the removal of a low quality dwelling and replacement with a contemporary 5 bedroom dwelling.
