About the project

After designing and obtaining Planning permission for the refurbishment of an existing bungalow and the creation of 3 new dwellings, Studio Four were appointed by Williams Ewan to develop the drawings for Building Regulations approval and construction.

The scheme achieved Planning approval and suitable development potential by creating interesting split-level floor plans. These respected the site contours better than previous schemes, using a central staircase to serve floor levels that minimise the overall height of the dwellings and reduced cut and fill.

The 2, 3 and 4 bedroom properties were very popular, even in the sluggish Housing market of 2011, and have led to further similar schemes on behalf of the same developer on adjacent sites
