About the project
Studio Four assisted Createability and Alliance Leisure to provide South Gloucestershire Council and the Circadian Trust with improvements at two leisure centres outside Bristol.
The first was Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre, where £3.6m of works included a new entrance lobby, re-cladding to the main front elevation, an extension to the existing gym, internal alterations to create additional fitness studios and café area, and re-planning the existing library. External works also included the formation of 146 additional parking spaces and new landscaping works, all within the existing site boundary.
Internally the creation of a children’s soft play zone and adjacent climbing walls was a huge success, and the facilities were officially opened by Paralympic gold medallist Andy Lewis in February 2017.
