About the project

Our Southampton office had the opportunity to design an infill development project which had to be taken into account the local vernacular architectural styles whilst being modern in the overall design. 

The two blocks were designed in a formal, reserved manner, with clearly defined roof elements which express the ‘Tudor-Bethan ‘style in a 21st Century manner. 

The two blocks have been designed in reference to the Victorian landscape designer Humphrey Repton with a formal garden linking the two blocks and leaving the remainder of the garden as an area of wildlife-friendly habitat.

This project proposes a new building at a key location on Hayling Island; at the junction of Station Road and West Lane.

Waterfront Development, Isle of Wight

Our Southampton office has been asked to carry out feasibility and planning for a development of 8 flats on a seafront location adjacent to an ancient monument.

4 Dwellings, Kings Worthy

After designing and obtaining Planning permission for the refurbishment of an existing bungalow and the creation of 3 new dwellings, Studio Four were appointed by Williams Ewan to develop the drawings for Building Regulations approval and construction.
