About the project

Our Romsey office achieved planning permission in July 2018, for the removal of an existing bungalow on a site and replacement with a 5 bedroom contemporary house that utilises ground level differences to create an appropriately sized scheme on the site whilst providing the client with the spaces they require. The site has had a problematic history with numerous failed applications over many years. Technical design has been completed and works began on site in June 2019 with completion in March 2020

The Gables

Contemporary 6 bedroom house on the site of an existing bungalow. A pre-fabricated timber frame made off site combined with feature oak truss gables.

North Marden

Designed for a young couple, this project created a 2 storey side extension to provide additional living space and a new master suite

Sheep Dip

Conversion and connection of 2 existing outbuildings. Other works include a new orangery and manipulation of the existing roof to create a larger master bedroom.

New build dwelling on the outskirts of the New Forest National Park providing a dwelling for a young family and paddocks for their livestock

Megana Way

Contemporary new dwelling within the grounds of an existing house. Extensive glazing is proposed to maximise on views across local fields.

Rose Cottage

This project involved the removal of an existing low quality dwelling and replacement with a new but traditional brick and flint dwelling with 3 bedrooms.

Crown Hill Cottage

Extensive re-modelling, extensions and refurbishments to an existing split level house, located on the South side of the South Downs National Park.
Status: On Site

Green Orchard

Complete refurbishment of an existing dwelling, including raising of the roof to create an additional floor space and creation of an indoor swimming pool.
Status: Planning Granted

La Beaudouiniere, France

Stephen Hole – one of the Directors at Studio Four Architects – purchased part of a field in France with a Barn in one corner in 2003/2004.

Listed Building Conversion

Conversion of an existing Cart Shed into an annexe for a private dwelling, as well as the repair and refurbishment of a Grade II listed barn
