A modern new-build house in Hampshire has now received Planning permission.
The design of the project is very contemporary and really pushes the possibilities of what is feasible in more traditional housing areas.
The context itself is very varied in terms of materials, scale and volumes of adjacent dwellings. This new house respects the existing ridge and eaves heights of its neighbours to reduce the visual impact of the scheme on the street frontage.
The Planning department were very supportive of such a contemporary design and commented:
‘Overall, the proposed development is considered to deliver a high quality contemporary addition to the existing street scene, which will make a positive contribution to the character and appearance of the area. The proposed new dwelling is considered acceptable in terms of its relationship to neighbouring properties and the mature trees to the front of the site’
We’re also looking at other opportunities for bespoke quality dwellings on other infill sites.
