About the project

Stephen Hole – one of the Directors at Studio Four Architects – purchased part of a field in France with a Barn in one corner in 2003/2004.  The original building had been extended in a number of under-engineered and non-structurally sound ways which required modification back to the traditional style with the Jay tail roof on the Eastern Elevation.

The proposal is to convert the building into a 2 bedroom property with a central dining/kitchen area, a living space on the far left on the ground floor and one bedroom on each floor. A rear extension houses the utility and bathroom.
