We are very pleased to announce that Steve Robinson is now a full Director of the practice.
Steve joined Studio Four in June 2002 as a Part II Graduate from Brighton University and went on to qualify as an Architect, gaining his Part III and full RIBA title in 2004. He was promoted to Associate in 2015, Associate Director in 2017 and now joins the other directors as a shareholder of the practice.
He has worked on a wide variety of projects covering many sectors during his time with the practice, from Primary Healthcare work on GP Surgeries at Whiteley and Bognor Regis, to University and Leisure projects both locally and as far afield as Lancashire.
Working from our Winchester office, Steve has been responsible for building a very close relationship between the practice and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution since 2006, having successfully completed new lifeboat stations at Hayling Island, Cowes, Selsey and Llandudno. He is now working on many of the RNLI’s other key projects, including Margate, Penlee, Wells and various others around the British coastline. His expertise in putting together successful designs and Planning applications for sites in remote marine locations and coastal towns is now second to none!
He is an avid promoter of Revit and BIM, working with the RNLI to develop protocols for all their new buildings going forward. He manages the Design Team in most cases, reporting back to the RNLI monthly on progress and budget. This workload obviously also involves a lot of travelling, which Steve undertakes with good grace despite the demands of a young family! And the call of a Saints home game!
We wish him continued success as he takes on this new position and hope all our colleagues will join us in congratulating him on a very successful career.
