The temporary office-to-residential permitted development (PD) right, that was due to lapse at the end of May 2016, will now be made permanent according to the Planning and Housing minister. In addition, the new permanent right would allow office buildings to be pulled down and replaced with new residential buildings.

Studio Four is already working on numerous PD schemes, with a view to achieving occupation by the May 2016 deadline. This news from the government will be welcomed by our clients still looking for suitable properties to develop.
