Works are close to completion for the extension and refurbishment of a dwelling in Sarisbury Green where an existing property had been extended and adapted over the years. The brief requested raising part of the roof for accommodation, extending out to the back, forming a roof terrace and all whilst seeking as much light as possible and taking advantage of views towards the River Hamble. The resultant design makes it hard to identify the previous extents of the building – especially after it has been wrapped in insulated render to unify the appearance of the building and improve the thermal properties.
