The new £4.4m ‘Smile Centre’ in Waterlooville was given the Royal “Seal of Approval” on Friday 29th January 2016 when it was officially opened by HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO. Prince Michael was given a full tour of the building where he chatted with Smile staff, local dignitaries, donors, fundraisers, families and the Design Team. Project Architect Paul Veysey from our Romsey office was in attendance and answered HRH’s questions about the buildings many green credentials, and its drainage!!
In a short speech, before unveiling a plaque in the Centre’s Café, the Prince stated “I’m very impressed with the quality of the building and the amount of effort and thought that’s gone into its construction. I wish every possible success for the future, both for the children and the people that look after them.”
