On Thursday 12th May studio four and guests attended the RICS South East Awards in Brighton. Our trip was a fruitful one as we picked up 2 awards on the night.
Our Barn conversion in Upton won the ‘Residential’ Award. This project was also shortlisted for the Building Conservation Award.
Congratulations to all those involved and a special thanks to the architect who obtained the original Planning permission, Huw Thomas, who is based in Winchester and has a great deal of experience in obtaining Planning permissions for barn conversions across the country. Claire Lingham was the Project Architect and undertook elements of re-design on the project and was involved until completion in March 2015. Claire attended the ceremony with Structural Engineer Nigel Challis, Planning Consultant Lisa Jackson, Re-newable Energy Consultant Bean Beanland and Building Control Officer Angela Davey. This project will now go forward to the National Awards to be held in London in October. For more details on the project please click here
Gareth Jenkins, Director and Project Architect, was representing the Naomi House scheme which was shortlisted under the ‘Community Benefit’ category. The scheme was Highly Commended by the judging panel and Gareth was joined by Andy Barnett (client) and Andy Sparks (Reside Construction). For more details on the project please click here
