Director Phil Amey and Associate Paul Veysey were delighted to attend an open afternoon at the recently completed Maritime Simulation Centre at Solent University.

Invited guests had an afternoon of touring the prestigious facility situated in the heart of the University’s city-centre campus. Along with trying their hand at navigating ships around the Solent and various other ports, they also used a crane simulator to load container ships with cargo.

The £7 million facility forms part of the Universities £43 million investment into maritime education and training – making it the UK’s largest ship and port simulation centre – offering ships officers, harbourmasters, pilots, port superintendents and other maritime professionals access to exceptional training using the very latest technology.
