We are delighted to have obtained planning permission for an agricultural-to-residential conversion in the South Downs.
As the site lies within a National Park, Class Q permitted development rights were not applicable and so the conversion of an agricultural building to a dwelling is a more difficult objective. Working with BCM we have been able to secure our client a dwelling on their own farmland, something they have been trying to achieve for some years. It has been a nerve-wracking six-month wait for the delayed decision, but we were delighted when the council approved the application under their Local Plan Policy SD41.
We are looking forward to progressing the technical design and hopefully breaking ground later this year.
