In August 2021 we submitted a planning application for the conversion of a modern agricultural building into a 4 bedroom dwelling in the South Downs National Park under the new Paragraph 49 policy, with the assistance of BCM.
The proposal is set back from the main roof overhang to prevent overheating on the South facade of the building. On 2 sides the roof cladding will wrap down the walls of the building, on the other 2 timber cladding is installed to provide natural warmth to the building. A single storey element creates a master bedroom balcony above and scales the building down to its surroundings.
The application was approved in Jan 2022, and is currently in the Technical Design stage.
